Youth Group Night at the Food Pantry.

Welcome!  Obviously this page is still under construction, and any student or member of the Youth Group would be welcomed if they stepped forward and wanted to work on making this space the Youth Group's.

Why an American flag?  Why NOT?!  At St. John's we still recite the Pledge of Allegiance at the beginning of the school day, and think we very much need to be joining Christian principles to our patriotism.

At the end of August, the Youth Group spent a night playing board games with the Sisters of St. Joseph of Carondolet.  In the above photo, Sr. Sarah Heger shows the group the beautiful chapel at the Motherhouse.  The Sisters boast the largest collection of (saintly) relics in North America.

The group wanders through a courtyard in the midst of the Motherhouse.

So what should you know about our Youth Group?  We're a new group, started in June of 2007, and attended primarily by St. John's students--though all are welcome.

To date, we've been gathering Wednesday nights and some Thursday days.  The "Godstuff" is important, but it's not all we do.  After all, the Church is the Body of Christ, and sometimes the Body needs to go out and have fun together!

We've been to Six Flags, a Cardinals game, and the presentation of "Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat" at Our Lady of Snows Shrine.  The last Tuesday of every month we attend Mass and Eucharistic Adoration at the Cardinal Rigali Center, then snag some frozen custard afterward.  The last Thursday of the month, we go to XLT.  If you didn't see our schedule of upcoming events posted above, you might be taking the "walk by faith and not by sight" line a little too literally!
